Carbon dioxide-mineral water with a mineralization of 6.0-8.0 mg/dm3 is used for the procedure.

The patient is lying on his side with his legs bent at the knees. A rectal intestinal probe is inserted to a depth of 12 cm. The tip of the probe is treated with vaseline.

After filling the intestine, water is removed from it by switching the tap through the same probe. 0.5-1.0 liters of water can be injected simultaneously in 3-5 doses. The temperature is 38-40 ° C. The course of treatment is up to 4 procedures.

Indications for use

Siphon intestinal lavages are often used for functional bowel diseases, chronic duodenitis, colitis and enterocolitis of various etiologies outside the acute phase.

Contraindications

This procedure is contraindicated in diseases such as enterocolitis, chronic dysentery, ulcerative colitis, cholelithiasis, cirrhosis of the liver and all forms of jaundice.
