Underwater shower massage

Underwater shower-massage is a procedure in which the mechanical action of a jet of fresh water under pressure is directed at a patient in a warm bath. Shower massage causes an increase in oxygen tension in the tissues, improved blood circulation, decreased high blood pressure, stimulation of metabolic processes and resorption of inflammatory foci. The total duration of the procedure is 25-30 minutes, carried out every other day or daily, for a course of 8-10 procedures.

Contraindications

• Pregnancy period, menstruation
• Early childhood (up to 7 years) and senile age (over 65 years)
• Acute diseases or exacerbations of chronic diseases
• Recent injuries and injuries requiring immobilization
• Pustular skin diseases
• Disorders of cerebral circulation
• History of myocardial infarction
• Hypertension of stages II-III
• Ischemic heart disease of II-III degree
• Cardiac arrhythmias
• Urolithiasis
• Cholelithiasis
• Thrombophlebitis, varicose veins of the lower extremities
• Diseases accompanied by an increased risk of blood clots and bleeding
• Malignant neoplasms
• Benign tumors with a tendency to grow
• Cachexia of various etiologies.
