TERRENKUR ROUTES IN ESSENTUKI

AMAKS "Shahter SANATORIUM" is located in a picturesque corner of the Caucasian Shahteral Waters, which is famous for its favorable climate and clean air, capable of truly "healing" and restoring health.

"Terrain treatment" is nothing but a "terrencourt" or a "health path" - a powerful natural factor in improving the body.
Terrenkur is a dosed cross–country walking on marked routes with a gradual increase in motor activity.

Useful properties:
  • oxygen saturation of the body;
  • visual activity with natural light;
  • psychoemotional recovery from physical activity and the surrounding nature;
  • preservation of cognitive function in the elderly.
  • endurance development;
  • increase in human motor activity;
  • strengthening the muscles of the legs and back when moving in the ascent;

It is best to take dosed walks in the morning or in the evening before taking mineral water. It is not recommended to go out on the paths of the terrencourt shortly after medical procedures and a plentiful meal. On the days of taking mineral baths and mud treatments, the walk should be shorter than usual, you need to walk slowly and calmly.

In Yessentuki, terrencures are arranged using the rugged terrain of the medical park.

Each of the 3 ring routes starts and ends at the pavilion of therapeutic gymnastics, passes near mineral springs, balneotherapy and the entrance gates of the park.
Route No. 1 is the least stressful, with a length of 1870 m, the angles of ascent and inclines within 4-9 °.
Route No. 2 is an average load, with a length of 2600 m, the angles of ascents and slopes are 4-11 °.
Route No. 3 - has a length of 2400 m. To increase the load when walking, stair ascents and descents with a steepness in some areas up to 30 ° were used.

Metered walking on flat terrain is carried out along 2 circular routes starting at the gallery of mineral springs in Victory Park.
Route No. 1 runs along the central alley of the park, its length is 2200 m.
Route No. 2 runs along the extreme alleys of the park, its length is 2900 m.

Try any of the suggested routes to enjoy a pleasant activity in nature!
