The sculptural image of the Risen Christ crowns the Chapel of the Resurrection of Christ, the total height of the structure is 22 meters! Because of the majestic monument, the place is jokingly called Rio de Caucasus by analogy with the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, where there is a 38-meter statue of Christ the Redeemer. According to the sculptors' idea, Christ faces the Caucasian Ridge, thereby blessing the whole Caucasus. The main motive for the creation of the statue was the desire to contribute to the strengthening of peace and stability in the multinational Stavropol Territory.
This is not just a statue, but a whole Temple complex or Temple Park, On the territory of which there are many chapels, several temples, a number of various landscape and monumental objects, numerous architectural forms, sculptures and mini-compositions, a pond with turtles, a wedding gate, a Sunday school, a museum of retro cars, a memorial to the tragedy of Pontic Hellenism and even a mini zoo!
The central part of the complex is formed by the church of the First Apostles Peter and Paul. The architectural ensemble is complemented by the Assumption Church, built in the old Byzantine style. The Holy City of Jerusalem theme park has been opened on the territory of the complex. It has its own Nativity Scene, the Holy Sepulchre, the Oak of Mamre, the Garden of Gethsemane, Mount Tabor – the place of the Ascension of Christ.
The construction and arrangement of the Peter and Paul Temple complex continues to the present. In the future, it is planned to create the largest pilgrimage center in the south of Russia here, as well as to build a theme park
"The Holy City of Jerusalem".
